3. When using the spark plug gap tool, keep in mind that some spark plug electrodes may bounce back due to the material of the spark plug. It is recommended to use a 0.044in feeler gauge size if your desired gap is 0.046in. It is better to start with a slightly smaller gap size than your target gap.
